Basketball Preview: Pontiac Phoenix vs. University Eagles
Pontiac has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the University Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Pontiac took a serious blow against the Eagles, falling 74-19. Pontiac has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to University, who are still winless after their 11th game. They were outmatched by Avondale on the road and fell 80-3.
Pontiac has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for University, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Pontiac against the Eagles when the teams last played two weeks ago as the team secured a 55-1 victory. Will Pontiac repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
