Recap: Highline Pirates vs. Foster Bulldogs
The Highline Pirates had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 50.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past Foster 76-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Highline, who have now won seven matchups by 33 points or more so far this season.
Highline's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ronan Rasmussen led the charge by throwing for 119 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Marquawn McCraney, who picked up 67 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Highline's win was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 46 points. As for Foster, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highline will take on Renton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Renton's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Foster, they will be playing at home against Lindbergh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lindbergh and Foster are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
