Volleyball Recap: Grandview Extends Winning Streak to Five

Grandview waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Maypearl Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Zebras, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-12.

London Helm paced Grandview's offense, picking up 12 kills. Helm got some help from Gracie Lawson and her 34 assists. Rylie Butler controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Grandview's win bumped their record up to 22-9. As for Maypearl, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-18.

Coincidentally, Grandview and Maypearl will both be playing Blooming Grove the next time they take the court. The Zebras will host the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
