Basketball Recap: Maplewood Takes a Loss

Maplewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 66-48 bruising from the Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet Royals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 54-36 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Maplewood's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

When Maplewood and Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Maplewood will challenge Hume-Fogg and their five-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet will try to stop Lawson's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
