Millburn waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Montville Mustangs by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Millers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Millburn was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14.

Lily Philipov paced Millburn's offense, picking up 11 kills. Philipov got some help from Franna Hawksworth and her 27 assists. Philipov was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Millburn's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Montville, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
