Brennan is 3-0 against Sotomayor since March of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. In what's become a running theme this season, Brennan gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 12-4 margin over Stevens.
Brennan got a great performance from Natalie Gonzales as she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Gonzales has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Chenai Chawayipira was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Dayanara Moreno was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Sotomayor came up short against Harlan on Friday and fell 5-1. Sotomayor has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
