Softball Preview: Brennan Bears vs. Sotomayor WILDCATS        
        
		
            
 Brennan is 3-0 against Sotomayor since March of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Brennan Bears will head out on the road to  face off against  the Sotomayor WILDCATS at 7:00  p.m. Brennan is looking to tack on another W to their 14-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Brennan gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by  a  12-4 margin over Stevens.
 Brennan got a great performance from  Natalie Gonzales as she  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits (and not a single walk). Gonzales has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Chenai Chawayipira was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.  Dayanara Moreno was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Sotomayor came up short against Harlan on Friday and fell  5-1. Sotomayor has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Sotomayor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Brianna Flores, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Brennan is  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record  this season. As for Sotomayor, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
 Brennan beat Sotomayor 4-1  in their previous meeting  back in March. Does  Brennan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sotomayor turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
