Baseball Recap: Worthington Kilbourne Comes Up Short

Worthington Kilbourne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-2 to the Big Walnut Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 last Wednesday.

Worthington Kilbourne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braden Pullins, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Worthington Kilbourne's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Big Walnut, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Worthington Kilbourne is taking a road trip to square off against Olentangy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Big Walnut, they will welcome Westerville North at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
