Basketball Game Preview: Tuscola Mountaineers vs. Pisgah Bears

Tuscola hasn't had much luck against Pisgah recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tuscola Mountaineers will square off against the Pisgah Bears at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Pisgah is hoping to do what East Henderson couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Tuscola's winning streak, which now stands at five games. Tuscola enjoyed a cozy 59-42 victory over East Henderson.

Meanwhile, Pisgah had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 61-40 margin over the Falcons. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Pisgah's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Tuscola, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Tuscola was dealt a bruising 64-32 defeat at the hands of Pisgah in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Tuscola was down 46-15.
