Football Recap: Eldorado Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Eldorado was riding high fresh off their 28-0 takedown of Cheyenne last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Firehawks were dealt a 37-0 loss at the hands of the Silverado Skyhawks on Friday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Firehawks were not able to get on the board.

Greyson Howard threw for 56 yards on six of 23 attempts. On the ground, Edwin Zavala rushed for 101 yards on only 14 carries.

Silverado got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dillon Elliott out in front who threw for 89 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven passes. The Skyhawks also got help from Jersiah Eva, who showed off his sure hands for 83 receiving yards.

Eldorado has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Silverado, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Eldorado will face off against Sunrise Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Silverado, they will take on Mater Academy East Las Vegas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
