Baseball Recap: Tate's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

If Tate was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Booker T. Washington last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tate lost 13-7 to The First Academy Royals on Thursday. The Aggies' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Kaden Posta was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Taite Davis, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Tate's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for The First Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Tate will take on Pine Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tate is facing Pine Forest at the right time seeing as Pine Forest is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for The First Academy, they will challenge Jupiter at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The First Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: Jupiter has averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
