North Michigan Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Pellston on Thursday. The Comets put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 16-10 win. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

North Michigan Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Pellston, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
