Volleyball Recap: Gateway's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Orange, Gateway was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Faith Christian Lions with a sharp 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-14.

Carlos Figuera paced Gateway's offense, picking up six kills. Figuera got some help from Hugo Arayata and his 13 assists. Michael Velasco and Janiel Flores kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Gateway's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12. As for Faith Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Gateway has already played their next contest (against Victory Charter School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Faith Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Orlando Science on the 17th.
