Football Recap: Central Catholic Comes Up Short

The matchup between Central Catholic and Central Lafourche on Friday hardly resembled the 24-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Eagles were dealt a 56-24 loss at the hands of the Trojans. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Central Catholic is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Central Lafourche, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Central Catholic will host Hanson Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Central Lafourche, they are taking a road trip to challenge East St. John at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
