Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Lawrence Academy's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

If Northeast Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lawrence Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Jaslene Etheridge. The Lawrence Academy Warriors strolled past the Northeast Academy Eagles with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 67-52 thanks in part to Etheridge, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Northeast Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Hayes Hatcher and Arland Davis. Hatcher dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards, while Davis posted 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Lawrence Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Northeast Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
