Baseball Recap: New Bern Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Craven last Tuesday, New Bern came back down to earth. The Bears fell just short of the D.H. Conley Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

New Bern's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for D.H. Conley, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Bern will square off against Dixon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for D.H. Conley, they will face off against South Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
