Softball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Cottondale's Winning Streak

After a string of six wins, Cottondale's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tiger Sharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in March.

Cottondale's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Port St. Joe, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cottondale will challenge Walton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Port St. Joe, they will take on Liberty County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tiger Sharks 3.4, the Bulldogs 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
