Lewis Mills won the last time they faced Northwest Catholic and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Spartans put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 15-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Megyn Larose was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Larose was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Eliza Criss and Michaela Larose did most of the damage at the plate: Criss got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Michaela went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. London Meadows also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
The win made it two in a row for Lewis Mills and bumps their season record up to 11-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Northwest Catholic, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
