The Largo Packers will head out on the road to square off against the Zephyrhills Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Largo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Largo is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Indian Rocks Christian just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-2.

Tyson Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Zephyrhills was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 15-2 to Wiregrass Ranch. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Bulls recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Traiton Costello was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Zephyrhills' defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Largo, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Largo has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Zephyrhills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Everything went Largo's way against Zephyrhills when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Largo made off with a 12-2 win. Does Largo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Zephyrhills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
