Volleyball Recap: Samantha Combs and Amie Sauers Secure Win for Union County

Union County waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Flowery Branch Falcons.

Union County was led to victory by Amie Sauers and Samantha Combs. Sauers had four digs and three aces, while Combs had two aces and two assists. Those three aces gave Sauers a new career-high.

Union County's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Flowery Branch, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Union County will challenge Fannin County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Flowery Branch, they will square off against Lumpkin County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
