Softball Recap: Dawson-Bryant Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Dawson-Bryant won against South Point last Wednesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Hornets' pitcher stepped up to hand the Gallia Academy Blue Devils a 10-0 shutout. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by eight runs or more this season.

Kendall Taylor was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Izzy Kitts was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Dawson-Bryant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Dawson-Bryant is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Gallia Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
