Volleyball Recap: Murray County Takes a Loss

Murray County lost against LaFayette back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ramblers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15.

LaFayette's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anabelle Penland led the charge by getting ten digs and one assist. Those ten digs gave Penland a new career-high.

Murray County's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for LaFayette, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Murray County will take on Heard County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for LaFayette, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Oakwood Christian on the 12th.
