Volleyball Recap: Fairmont Takes a Loss

Fairmont lost against Scotland back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Golden Tornadoes lost 3-0 to the Fighting Scots. The Golden Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-9.

Despite the defeat, Fairmont saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jerrian Taylor had 13 digs and one assist.

Fairmont's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Scotland, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

After both having extra time off, Fairmont and St. Pauls will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Scotland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Hoke County on the 28th.
