Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sophie Delange and Remi Nelson Lead Corsica/Stickney to Victory

Corsica/Stickney waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jaguars also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Corsica/Stickney was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-22, 24-26, 27-25.

Leading Corsica/Stickney to victory were Remi Nelson and Sophie Delange. Nelson had 15 assists and six digs, while Delange had 18 kills, nine digs, and two blocks. Delange is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 22 games she's played dating back to last season.

Corsica/Stickney's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Corsica/Stickney didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 0-0 win against Colome on the 11th. As for Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Parkston on the 11th.
