Baseball Recap: Peabody Takes a Loss

If Peabody was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Bradford on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Tide wound up with the same score they had in their last game (12-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The result was an unpleasant reminder to them of the 10-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Peabody's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lakeland Preparatory, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Peabody has already played their next matchup, a 7-3 loss against Westview on the 21st. As for Lakeland Preparatory, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Covington on the 21st.
