Volleyball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest lost against Kirkwood back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 3-2.

Northwest wouldn't go down easily and took Kirkwood into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 11-point loss. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-17, 20-25, 25-21, 15-4.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11-1. As for Kirkwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Northwest will challenge Lindbergh at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kirkwood, they will square off against Seckman at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
