Softball Recap: Boron Takes a Loss

Boron had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 6-14 to make it four. They lost 15-4 to the Bishop Union Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 back in April.

As for Bishop Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The win was familiar territory for they, who have now won three matches in a row.

For Bishop Union's part, Cambrie Lanphear was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Lanphear a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Faye Spoonhunter, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one double.

As of now, neither Boron nor Bishop Union have any future games scheduled.
