Recap: Glen Lake Lakers vs. St. Francis Gladiators

The Glen Lake Lakers came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against St. Francis by a score of 55-42. Given Glen Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while St. Francis is ranked 280th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jacob Plamondon was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 17 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Benji Allen was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Glen Lake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for St. Francis, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glen Lake will take on Kingsley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Glen Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday. As for St. Francis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McBain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in McBain's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine games.
