Basketball Recap: Wildwood Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

If First Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Wildwood, they should've done a better job of containing Louis Brown. The Wildwood Wildcats really took it to the First Academy Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-21 victory thanks in part to Brown, who went 7 for 11 en route to 17 points and seven steals. What's more, he also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

Wildwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for First Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Wildwood has already played their next matchup, a 60-57 defeat against Mount Dora Christian Academy on the 31st. As for First Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 79-40 loss against Legacy Charter on the 31st.
