Basketball Recap: Belmont Comes Up Short

Belmont came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the Tishomingo County Braves and fell 80-41. The Cardinals have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Claire Ray was nothing short of spectacular for Tishomingo County: she posted 30 points. Meg Moore was another key player, putting up 20 points.

Belmont's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Tishomingo County, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.

Coming up, Belmont is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Phil Campbell at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tishomingo County, they will host West Point at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
