Trumbull has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Darien Blue Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Trumbull's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Trumbull can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 67-44 margin over Bridgeport Central. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Trumbull has posted against Bridgeport Central since March 9, 2015.
Meanwhile, Darien's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. The game between Darien and Staples wasn't particularly close, with Darien falling 61-45. Darien has struggled against Staples recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Trumbull's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Darien, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Trumbull was able to grind out a solid victory over Darien when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 56-47. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Darien's Simeon Doll, who scored 18 points. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Trumbull to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
