Softball Recap: UMS-Wright Prep Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After soaring to 15 runs the game before, UMS-Wright Prep was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell 4-1 to the Elberta Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-5 back in March.

Hope Blaylock made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

UMS-Wright Prep's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Elberta, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-17.

Coming up, UMS-Wright Prep will welcome McGill-Toolen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Elberta, they will be playing at home against West Florida at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
