Juniata Christian scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 52-29 to the Faith Baptist Eagle. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Eagle: they've now lost eight in a row.

Despite the loss, Juniata Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alayna Coulter posted eight points and five steals. Coulter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Alyvia Banks was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Even though they lost, Juniata Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Faith Baptist's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alyssa Ahrens, who went 10 of 16 on her way to 22 points and six assists. Another player making a difference was Bailey Burton, who went 5 for 8 en route to 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Juniata Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Faith Baptist, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
