Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lexie Wokutch and Jazmyn Wood Lead Brooke to Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Brooke rose to the challenge on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the North Marion Huskies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on Thursday.

Leading Brooke to victory were Jazmyn Wood and Lexie Wokutch. Wood had 12 digs and three aces, while Wokutch had five digs and one assist. Those 12 digs gave Wood a new career-high. Olivia Yarter also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Brooke's win bumped their record up to 10-19. As for North Marion, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season.

Brooke didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against John Marshall on the 5th. North Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
