Basketball Game Preview: Westwood Panthers vs. Somerset College Prep Academy Spartans

Westwood has gone 9-1 against Somerset College Prep Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Westwood Panthers will get right back to it and host the Somerset College Prep Academy Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Despite the loss, Westwood had strong showings from Jordan Crutchfield, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards, and Keith Seme, who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Crutchfield has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 27 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Marquan Burgess, who earned two points along with five assists, five boards, and four steals.

Meanwhile, Somerset College Prep Academy was beaten by Tradition Prep 75-48 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost four in a row.

Westwood will need focus on slowing down Lenz Constant, one of several Somerset College Prep Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He had five points. Micheal Hill was another key player, putting up eight points.

Somerset College Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Westwood, they dropped their record down to 10-11 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
