Baseball Recap: Central Lake Comes Up Short

Central Lake lost to St. Mary Cathedral back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans lost 22-8 to the Eagles. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jameison Pringle and Jason Kline stepped up to the plate in a big way. Pringle went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Kline went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolyn Whisler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Central Lake's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for St. Mary Cathedral, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

While Central Lake had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
