Volleyball Recap: The Habersham School Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

The Habersham School waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Effingham County Rebels by a score of 2-0. The Patriots were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Rebels, so the Patriots were just returning the favor.

The Habersham School easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-12.

Myla Shippy paced The Habersham School's offense, picking up 11 kills. Shippy got some help from Betsy Kelly and her nine assists. Brownette Olson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The Habersham School's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Effingham County, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coincidentally, The Habersham School and Effingham County will both be playing St. Andrew's the next time they take the court. The Rebels will host the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
