Baseball Recap: Shadow Ridge's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Shadow Ridge owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Roosevelt Roughriders. Winning may never get old, but the Stallions sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Ryan McAfee looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Owen Gorman and Kael Leon did most of the damage at the plate: Gorman scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Leon scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Leon has become a key player for Shadow Ridge: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-7-2 otherwise.

Shadow Ridge's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Roosevelt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Shadow Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-4 defeat against Fruitland on the 26th. As for Roosevelt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-6 loss against Air Academy on the 26th.
