Recap: Briggsdale Falcons vs. Deer Trail Eagles
The Briggsdale Falcons had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They blew past Deer Trail, posting a 62-13 win at home. The result was nothing new for Briggsdale, who have now won three matchups by 37 points or more so far this season.
Briggsdale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Fiscus, who rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaeden Gebauer, who rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Briggsdale's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Gebauer and Cash Haun who racked up four sacks between them.
Briggsdale's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Deer Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
Briggsdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Deer Trail also has no future games currently scheduled.
