Recap: Silver Valley Trojans vs. Excelsior Charter Eagles

The Silver Valley Trojans stacked a 19th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 80-40 victory over Excelsior Charter. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Silver Valley.

It was another big night for Jaden Sassone, who scored 27 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Bryan Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with four steals.

Despite the loss, Excelsior Charter saw an underclassman step up: Julian Cora scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Cora is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cruz Torres, who scored six points along with two steals.

Silver Valley's victory bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Excelsior Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silver Valley will take on Montclair at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Silver Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 477 points over their last six matchups. As for Excelsior Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Magnolia Science Academy at 7:00 p.m. Excelsior Charter is coming into the matchup with four straight losses at home, so Magnolia Science Academy is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
