Baseball Recap: Menlo-Atherton's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Menlo-Atherton had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hillsdale Fighting Knights an 11-0 shutout. The match marked the Bears' most dominant win of the season.

Jack Molise made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. Molise was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Menlo-Atherton got a massive performance out of Ryder Kelly, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Merrick Lee, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Menlo-Atherton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hillsdale only posted a batting average of .045.

Menlo-Atherton's record is now 20-7. As for Hillsdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season.
