Football Game Preview: Peninsula Seahawks vs. Timberline Blazers + How To Watch

The Peninsula Seahawks will challenge the Timberline Blazers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Timberline took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Peninsula, who comes in off a win.

Peninsula will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points last Friday, then bounced right back against River Ridge on Friday. The Seahawks took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-20 win over the Hawks. The Seahawks haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Jacob Martin produced another solid performance rushing for 194 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Peninsula is undefeated when Martin posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Another rusher making a difference was Thomas Marzano, who gained 135 total yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Peninsula proved: they limited River Ridge to a paltry 1.9 yards per carry. The Seahawks' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.4 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 6.07 on average over their last five games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 45 points the game before, Timberline was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They took a 28-12 bruising from Lakes. The game marked the Blazers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Peninsula now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Timberline, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Peninsula against Timberline in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 35-0 win. Will the Seahawks repeat their success, or do the Blazers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
