Baseball Recap: McKinley Tech Comes Up Short

McKinley Tech made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Dunbar, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Trainers fell just short of the Crimson Tide by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The Trainers have struggled against the Crimson Tide recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Coby Diediker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

McKinley Tech's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Dunbar, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

McKinley Tech wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-5 victory against Bell on the 23rd. As for Dunbar, they will host Coolidge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
