Basketball Recap: Olympic Takes a Loss

Olympic played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 39-14 to the Myers Park Mustangs. The Trojans have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Olympic saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chaya James posted eight points and 14 boards. James is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games she's played.

Olympic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Myers Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olympic will head out to square off against Ardrey Kell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Myers Park, they are taking a road trip to take on Berry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
