South Caldwell is a perfect 10-0 against West Caldwell since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Spartans will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. West Caldwell took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on South Caldwell, who comes in off a win.

If South Caldwell beats West Caldwell with 42 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Spartans blew past West Wilkes 42-19 on Tuesday. The Spartans not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 27, 2024 (when they won 59-22).

South Caldwell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Holland Weisner out in front who posted ten points. Addison Whitman was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, West Caldwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 21-16 heartbreaker at the hands of West Wilkes.

South Caldwell has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 45 points this season. As for West Caldwell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

South Caldwell strolled past West Caldwell when the teams last played on Friday by a score of 42-26. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
