Softball Recap: Point Pleasant Beach Comes Up Short

Point Pleasant Beach fell victim to Barnegat and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 11-0 to the Bengals. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Garnet Gulls' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Point Pleasant Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Barnegat, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Looking ahead, Point Pleasant Beach will face off against New Egypt at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Barnegat, they will be playing at home against Brick Memorial at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
