Basketball Recap: Providence Classical Christian Comes Up Short

Providence Classical Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The contest between them and the Sound Christian Lions didn't end well, with the Providence Classical Christian Highlanders falling 69-53.

Sound Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Makai Resseau out in front who went 9 of 17 en route to 26 points. Resseau has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Moses Stiver, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Providence Classical Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sound Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Classical Christian will welcome Shoreline Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sound Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chief Kitsap Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Sound Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.
