Recap: Ravenswood Red Devils vs. Braxton County Eagles
In what's become a running theme this season, the Ravenswood Red Devils gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Braxton County, posting a 68-40 win on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ravenswood.
It was another big night for Hadleigh McGoskey, who scored 29 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Ravenswood's points. Emily Wratchford was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Ravenswood has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Braxton County, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ravenswood will take on Charleston Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ravenswood is facing Charleston Catholic at the right time seeing as Charleston Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Braxton County, they will play host again and welcome Gilmer County, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Braxton County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Gilmer County is ranked eighth).
