Baseball Recap: Gaston Christian Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

Gaston Christian never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Gaston Day Spartans with a sharp 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Cooper Summerlin looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Gaston Christian got a massive performance out of Xander Sutton, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Carter Rowe was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
