Cody entered their tilt with Northwestern on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Colts by a score of 6-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Ezavior Simpson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Cody always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .611 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Cody's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Northwestern, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cody will take on Cass Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwestern, they will face off against Denby at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
