Preview: Pilot Point vs. Anna
The Pilot Point Bearcats will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against the Anna Coyotes at 7:15 p.m. Pilot Point's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
Pilot Point has not won a game since January 2nd, a trend which continued on Friday. Neither they nor Celina could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Pilot Point's first draw of the season.
Meanwhile, Anna scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Farmersville 5-1. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Anna with their most commanding win of the season.
They hit Farmersville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Gustavo Fortuna (2),
Joan Martinez telez,
Sebastian Griman, and
Zachary Tenorio.
With that draw, Pilot Point's record moves to 1-7-1. As for Anna, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7-1.
